The Coaching Conundrum: Comparing Self-Perceived Executive Coaching Outcomes to Pre- Post- 360 Transformational Leadership Assessment

The present poster will describe a university based coaching program. It compares a 360 evaluation of progress on personalized goals worked on in coaching, to changes in transformational leadership across a 10-month coaching engagement. Results indicated that although the coaching client, the supervisor, and the coach uniformly perceived strong gains made in coaching, there were no changes in transformational leadership behavior as graded by those same supervisors, peers, and direct reports.
