What We Are Looking For

As consulting psychologists, we see organizations, leaders and teams as they are and help them discover their future potential.  We see the effects of polarization, including organizational divisiveness and paralysis, and use our skills to invite productive change in these dynamics.  This conference is an opportunity for us to learn together and from others as we elevate our own professional potential. There will be opportunities to explore how we work with clients, how we work together as professionals, and how we forge deeper connections and commitment.  Our theme is “Collaboration, Community and Common ground”, and we invite proposals related to this theme and the work of consulting psychologists. This can include any of the following topics:

• Individual, team and organizational assessment
• Innovations in consulting and coaching services
• Organizational change and development
• Professional practice and skills development
• Diversity, inclusion and consulting that builds community
• Conflict management, mediation and negotiation among stakeholders
• Interpersonal, group and systems level interventions that foster collaboration
• Evidence-based interventions that have been shown to stand the test of time

Session Types

• Workshops – 4 or 8 hours
• Concurrent – 90 minutes
• Keynotes – The SCP conference committee has already selected their keynote speakers.

Note: SCP will pay workshop presenters.  Selected workshop speakers earn $50 for the first 15 people in their session and then an additional $15 for each one after.  Any workshop that is selected that doesn’t have 10+ paid attendees will be cancelled. SCP does NOT pay for concurrent sessions.

Submission Guidelines

To be considered as a speaker, please be prepared to submit the following via our online portal:

1. CV highlighting your relevant experience
2. Any supporting materials required
3. CE information (SCP strives to offer as many APA and ICF CEs for attendees).  Please consider providing this part to the conference chairs.

Note: All speakers are required to register and pay for their conference registration.

Selection Process

Our expert review committee will evaluate all submissions based on relevance, originality, and potential impact. Accepted workshop speakers will be notified by October 14, 2024  Accepted concurrent speakers will be notified by October 31, 2024.
