Announcing a FREE education/development program for early career psychologists (have completed a doctorate degree within the last 10 years).
This program provides teaching, mentoring and case study analysis. It was founded by Harry Levinson, one of the seminal figures in consulting psychology. Dr. Levinson was an active member of Division 13 who was notable for his groundbreaking work in combining psychoanalytic and systems theory, dealing with the psychological impact of change and insights into organizational assessment.
Dr. Levinson began these seminars after his retirement from Harvard (via phone… before Zoom) and requested that these be continued after his death free of charge. The seminar involves reading in some of Levinson’s seminal work, mini-lectures on practical consulting strategies, and discussions about real consulting cases.
The program is facilitated by Judy Blanton, an SCP past president and Fellow with a long career in organizational consulting.
Each participant is expected to present one case study and they receive a mentoring session with Dr. Blanton prior to the presentation. Previous participants have found this seminar valuable in broadening and deepening their skills in various areas of consulting.
- Have completed doctoral degree in psychology within the last 10 years
- Able to present a case study based on their practice
- Attend all sessions
- Agree to complete any reading assignments prior to the sessions
- Provide short feedback after the seminar
The group sessions will take place virtually over six sessions on Tuesdays from 7:30 to 9:00 pm ET (4:30-6 pm PT), beginning November 12, 2024.
